Man from Wakefield who raped teenager at knifepoint jailed for 9 years

A 31-year-old man from the Wakefield area who raped a teenager at knifepoint has been jailed.

Christopher Adams, was sentenced to 9 years in prison and given a restraining order at Leeds Crown Court after admitting two counts of rape.

Adams seriously sexually assaulted his teenage victim several times, while threatening her with a weapon.

Wakefield District Child Safeguarding Unit carried out extensive lines of enquiry and with assistance from members of the public swiftly arrested and charged Adams.
