Calls for more support for farming industry after months of tough conditions
There is a call for more to be done to support those who work in farming.
It comes as the industry has been hit by a succession of severe events over the last year. And drought is also now a serious issue.
Andrew Ward farms over 1600 acres and knows first hand how critical the situation is. He said the pressure famers were under was immense.
The Lincolnshire Rural Support Network provides help to farming and rural communities. They have seen a ten percent increase in their casework over the last year and since lockdown are getting three new cases every week.
The National Farmers' Union has called for increased mental health support as one farmer every week takes their own life.
