Police identify body of woman found in canal in Mytholmroyd

Police have identified a woman whose body was recovered from the canal near to the former Walkley's Clogs mill between Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.

At around 11.40am on 15 May, police were called to the canal where a member of the public reported seeing a body in the water.

Police have not released the woman's name and are not treating her death as suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
