Armed police arrest man, 30, after woman stabbed and man injured in Cleckheaton

A 30 year old man has been arrested after armed police officers were called to a street in Cleckheaton where two people had been assaulted.

It happened at around 4.20pm on Monday 12 May, 2020 after concerns were raised over the welfare of two people inside a house on Turnsteads Drive.

Police forced their way inside and found a woman in her 30s who had been stabbed in the leg and an injured man in his 40's.

A 30 year old man has been taken into police custody and is being questioned on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault.
