Hedgehog rescued from drain in Rotherham released back into wild
A hedgehog has been rescued and released back into the wild after becoming stuck 2ft down a drain in Rotherham.
The RSPCA was called on Monday 20 April after a member of the public’s dogs alerted her to the trapped animal in the drain on Shelley Road.
RSPCA Animal Welfare Officer Liz Braidley, who is also one of the RSPCA’s specialist wildlife officers, said:
Liz also replaced the drain cover to try to prevent any repeat incidents.
