Wakefield hospital celebrate 302nd covid-19 patient to be discharged
The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust posted on Facebook to celebrate their 302nd covid-19 patient to be discharged.
Barbara (pictured above) spent over five long weeks in Pinderfields hospital in Wakefield, 28 days of which were spent on ICU requiring critical care.
After becoming extremely poorly and being placed in to an induced coma, Barbara has made amazing progress since first being admitted, according to the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
In the picture above, taken last week (April 22), Barbara is standing for the first time since waking up, with the help of some her physiotherapy team.
Pinderfields hospital say a multi-disciplinary team of therapies are involved in helping patients get back to a sense of normality whilst recovering from covid-19.
