Former Leeds United defender Dominic Matteo vows to read and write again after brain tumour surgery

Former Leeds United defender Dominic Matteo has vowed to read and write again after having surgery to remove a brain tumour.

The 45-year-old was diagnosed with the tumour last November, and went through a seven-hour life saving procedure.

However, despite being given the all-clear last week, Matteo has been left without the capacity to read or write.

It's a challenge he's keen to overcome as he tries to homeschool his little boy during the coronavirus lockdown.
