Two men lift spirits of Lincolnshire village with 'flypast'

Two men have helped to lift the spirits of their village in Lincolnshire with a 'flypast'.

With the people of Dorrington, near Sleaford, in lockdown, George Newton and Bill Drury decided to don two plane costumes that were originally built for a prom in the village in 2009.

On Sunday, April 12 at 7pm, George dressed up as a Messerschmittwhile Bill donned the Spitfire costume.

Together the pair ran around the village in and around Main Streetwhile the Dambusters theme tune blared out of some speakers put upoutside by George’s mum, Julia.
