Teenager charged after spitting at ambulance crew in Skipton

An 18-year-old has been charged with spitting at ambulance crew members who tried to help him after he reported suffering a suspected seizure.

The man, from Skipton, North Yorkshire, is accused of assaulting two emergency workers by spitting and threatening to cough in their faces after mentioning coronavirus.

North Yorkshire Police said the incident happened on Broughton Road, in the town, at 7.55pm on Sunday.
