Increase in production to help hospitals deal with Covid-19 patients
Video report by Helen Steel
As hospital staff get ready for an increase in the number of patients with Covid-19, businesses supplying them with medical equipment have started ramping up production.
In East Yorkshire, workers are creating two 48-bed intensive care wards in a three-week turnaround.
Meanwhile, staff at a factory in Leeds have increased production tenfold to deal with the extra orders. The new beds will be going to the new Nightingale Hospital in East London.
There have been examples of businesses and communities pulling together in other parts of West Yorkshire and Lincoln to help with the battle against coronavirus.
