Hospital bosses at Doncaster & Bassetlaw asking for 'care packages' for staff members
Kind-hearted residents in Doncaster and Worksop are being asked to purchase items like soap, deodorant, tea, coffee and biscuits if they want to show their appreciation for the heroic NHS staff during the coronavirus outbreak.
Hospital bosses at Doncaster & Bassetlaw are telling people if they would like to help, they can provide 'care package items' for those staff members who are staying in hospital accommodation during the period.
Through an Amazon Wishlist, desired items include, tea, coffee, milk sachets, sugar packets, bottled water, tissues, hand cream, shower gel, soap and deodorant.
Health chiefs said they had been 'inundated with calls' from residents asking how they could support NHS staff.
Just this week, hot beverage giant Costa donated 600 cans of coffee to help staff get through shifts.
Other kind acts include donations from schools across Doncaster and Worksop giving out goggles and disposable gloves from their respected science departments.
