Coronavirus latest: Deaths in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region double in 24 hours

As the national daily figure rose by 563 to 2352 deaths due to coronavirus, NHS England say the number of deaths in our region has doubled since yesterday and a further 48 people in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire have died.

Deaths were recorded at each of the following NHS trusts:

  • AIRDALE NHS FOUNDTION TRUST

  • CHESTERFIELD ROYAL HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • BARNSLEY HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • HARROGATE AND DISTRICT NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • LEEDS TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS TRUST

  • MID YORKSHIRE HOSPITAL NHS TRUST

  • SHEFFIELD TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • YORK TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • UNITED LINCOLNSHIRE HOSPITAL NHS TRUST

  • BRADFORD TEACHING HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • DONCASTER & BASSETLAW TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • HULL UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL NHS TRUST

  • NORTHERN LINCOLNSHIRE AND GOOLE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • THE ROTHERHAM NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

  • SHERWOOD FOREST HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

The number of cases in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire have gone over the 2,000 mark.

Sheffield has the third highest number of cases in the country with 451 people testing positive.
