Detectives appeal for information after shooting in Leeds

Police are appealing for information following a shooting in the Woodhouse area of Leeds on Saturday evening.

It is believed to have happened shortly before 9pm on Eltham Rise.

A 28-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were taken to hospital with injuries from the firearms discharge.

The man remains in hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The woman has since been discharged.

Detectives are now are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

There will be increased police patrols in the area.
