Drax power station aims to be carbon negative by 2030

Drax power station in North Yorkshire says it is aiming to be carbon negative by 2030 in a world-first to tackle climate change.

A trial to capture carbon dioxide from burning wood pellets has been a success and is catching a tonne of the greenhouse gas a day.

Now the power station, the UK's largest, has set an ambitious ten year plan. to absorb more carbon emissions from the air than it creates.
