Hull City Council launch plan to cut A&E admissions

A new project designed to cut A&E admissions has been launched ahead of Christmas.

The public health team at Hull City Council has developed a series of short videos on risks parents and carers of children under five should be aware of.

Covering common hazards, from trips and falls to scalds and poisoning, the videos are designed to raise awareness of everyday situations which could be dangerous and avoidable.

Accident prevention specialists have said the festive period can present additional hazards, including candles and alcohol which presents a poisoning hazard and makes adults less vigilant.
