Sistine Chapel experience comes to Hull Minster with opening of new exhibition
An exhibition of the scenes from the Sistine Chapel is coming to Hull Minster.
"Michelangelo – A Different View" gives people the chance to experience the world famous works of art in a different religious setting to the Vatican.
More than 50 detailed reproductions, including the famous “Creation of Adam”, a depiction of God giving life to the first man, and a six metre square painting of “The Last Judgement” will be on show. Visitors will have the chance to learn more about the works of art and how they were created.
More than 8,000 people have booked time slots for the event, which is free to see at the 700-year old church. The exhibition opens its doors on October 8 from 10am and runs until November 18.
