Driver clocked at 132mph over Humber Bridge because he was 'late for work'
Police clocked a motorist driving at a staggering 132mph across the Humber Bridge in heavy rain.
The driver sped past an unmarked traffic car on the A15 and was followed across the Humber Bridge at hugely dangerous speeds.
The 20-year-old man was stopped by police shortly after, where he claimed he was driving so fast because he was late for work.
In a tweet, Humber Roads Police said:
“Vehicle sighted #A15 overtaking an unmarked traffic car, the 20 year old driver continued to drive at high speed in heavy rain.
“Clocked at 132mph in a 50mph limit as it went across the #HumberBridge. Drivers excuse was that he was late for work! Reported for summons.”
