Day 5 UCI World Championships: Richmond and Royalty

Day 5 of the UCI Road World Championships was all about the Men's Junior Road Race. People from all over the globe descended on the county to witness the best men and women on two wheels in action.

The elite cyclists set off at Richmond and finished 148 km later in Harrogate.18-year-old Quinn Simmons (USA) crossed the line victorious after 33 kilometres out front on his own.

Ahead of the junior men’s road race, the Countess of Wessex took a visit to the fan zone in Harrogate to meet children who have been helped by Leeds Children's Hospital. The countess, is a patron of both the hospital and British Cycling.

People of all ages were loving the race and the special atmosphere:
