Former Leeds United boss Garry Monk announced as Sheffield Wednesday's new manager
Sheffield Wednesday has announced former Leeds United boss Garry Monk as their new manager.
Monk replaces Steve Bruce, who left Hillsborough in July to take charge of Premier League side Newcastle United.
His appointment by Wednesday means he will have managed five current second-tier sides in the past five years, since ending his playing career.
First-team coach Lee Bullen has been in temporary charge at Hillsborough since Bruce's departure. The club sit 11th in the Sky Bet championship after winning three and losing three of their first six matches.
