Why did Gordon Spencer die? The dream cruise that turned into tragedy
The family of a grandfather from Leeds who fell ill on holiday and later died are calling for the doctor who treated him in Caribbean to be banned from ever practising again.
86-year-old Gordon Spencer contracted pneumonia on a cruise ship and was later treated by Dr Alfred Sparman in Barbados.
His condition deteriorated and after being flown unconscious back to Yorkshire - his family agreed his life support should be switched off.
