It has been announced that all pig classes have been cancelled at the Great Yorkshire Show because of concerns about the health of an animal at another show.

The show's organisers say that there have been unconfirmed reports of a pig showing signs of illness at a previous event.

They said they took the decision as a precautionary measure to 'eliminate any potential risk'.

The event starts at the Great Yorkshire Showground on Tuesday July 9, 2019.
