All Saints Catholic College forced to close due to travellers

A secondary school in Huddersfield is closed today due to travellers being on the site.

All Saints Catholic College issued an alert saying they are closed for health and safety reasons.

Seven caravans arrived at the secondary school site at 10.30pm last night.

Around 800 pupils and 100 teaching staff were all told not to attend today.

It is the third time in 18 months the school has been forced to close due to travellers.

The headteacher is currently still on site and he is contacting the council to see what action can be taken.
