Thousands take part in Pretty Muddy race at Temple Newsam house in Leeds raising money for Cancer Research

Nearly 5,000 people braved not only the rain, but also the mud, as they took part in Cancer Research UK's Pretty Muddy event in Leeds earlier.

It's the first year men have been allowed to take part in the previously all-female fundraiser.

Among the runners was a mother-of-two who's fought cancer twice and a ten-year-old boy taking part in his mother's memory.
