More than 2000 Post Office branches face closure

There are fears that towns and villages across our region could lose more local services after claims that the Post Office network is on the brink of collapse.

The National Federation of Sub-Postmasters claims up to two and a half thousand small post offices will close or downsize in the next 12 months because of financial hardship.

As of March this year, a 105 were listed as closed in Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.
