Tour de Yorkshire 2019: Women's stage 2 leaves Bridlington
Billed as “The Yorkshire Coast” stage, the riders head out from Bridlington and race north to Whitby before turning across the North York Moors and back to a seafront finish in Scarborough.
The second and final stage of their race is 132km long with five categorised climbs to navigate and is due finish at around 1pm.
The bad weather did not deter the crowds of people who lined the streets to watch the start of the race.
The men’s race is set to start this afternoon at around 2pm and finish near 6pm.
