£20,000 worth damage caused with digger in Rotherham
Officers investigating serious damage caused to a digger, railway fencing and railway sidings are appealing for information.
Between approximately 9pm on 9 April and 5am on 10 April, someone gained access to the railway in Catcliffe, Rotherham, near to the M1 motorway.
The intruder(s) then managed to start a digger and trashed a number of railway fencing panels and railway sidings.
The intruder then set fire to the digger causing significant damage.
Officers are today appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious.
