Two men killed after collision in Barnsley

Two men have died after being in a collision in Barnsley.

It happened in Whams Road near to the Pipe Works when a black BMW and black Mitsubishi Outlander crashed at around 6.15pm on Friday March 1, 2019.

A 57 year old man and a 23 year old man travelling in the BMW died at the scene. A 39 year old woman driving the Mitsubishi was taken to hospital suffering minor injuries.

The men's families have been told and are receiving support.

The road was closed while police examined the scene.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision to make contact.
