Hundreds protest against climate change and the "lack of government action"
Thousands of schoolchildren and young people are taking part in a climate strike at the town halls in Leeds and Sheffield.
Organisers have said action is planned in at least 60 towns and cities across the UK from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands in an attempt to force politicians to tackle growing environmental problems.
Students in the UK are demanding the Government declare a climate emergency and take active steps to tackle the problem, communicate the severity of the ecological crisis to the public and reform the curriculum to make it an educational priority.
