Two men charged with Doncaster boxer's murder appear at magistrates court hearing
Two men accused of murdering the Doncaster boxer Tom Bell have appeared before a District Judge at a specially-convened hearing in the cells area at Doncaster Magistrates Court.
Joseph Bennia, from Balby in Doncaster, and Geoffrey Gocoul, from East Yorkshire, had earlier refused to appear in Court One.
It’s alleged they were involved in the killing of Tom, 21, who died in hospital after being shot through a window at the Maple Tree Pub in Balby last Thursday.
Both defendants were remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow (Friday).
