No customer parking at Leeds railway station for next two years

There will be no customer parking facilities at Leeds railway station for the next two years, it has been announced.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) says that the changes are due to significant improvement works at the station which include the construction of a new platform.

The changes come into force from Christmas Day this year.

LNER has, however, secured 45 parking spaces in the multi storey car park at Leeds station, specifically for use by holders of the LNER Standard Business Package only. However, they say these spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis each day.

Those who want to use station facilities are being urged to park at nearby multi-storey car parks which include CitiPark (Whitehall Road), Q Park (Sovereign Square) and Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre.
