Fire cadets to the rescue for village without a station

The villagers of Haworth lost their fire station in 2014, despite a battle by the local community to save it. But now it's a case of the children to the rescue!

The Haworth and Worth Valley Fire Cadets are being taught how to help out in an emergency - the fire service say the youngsters, aged between eight and 12,would never be called on to fight a real fire.

But they have been taking part in an exercise learning how to pump water from a reservoir, under the watchful eye of instructor Rob Rutter. For more on the cadets, click here
