Eddie Izzard gets honorary doctorate from York St John University

The comedian Eddie Izzard has described how he gave up a degree course at the University of Sheffield, to pursue a career in the stage. He was speaking as he picked up an honorary 'Doctor of Letters' from York St John University, at a special ceremony in York Minster.

In this interview with Chris Kiddey, Eddie describes his continued affection for the people of Yorkshire – and even gives his attempt at a Sheffield accent.
