Plaque unveiled at Leeds Station in memory of last soldier killed during WW1
A plaque has been unveiled at Leeds Railway Station, in honour of George Edwin Ellison.
The private was the last soldier to die during the First World War, having been killed at 9:30am on Armistice Day.
Ellison was born in York and later lived in Leeds. He was killed at the age of 40, while on a patrol on the outskirts of Mons, Belgium.
