Largest travelling fair in Europe arrives in Hull
More than 300 attractions including white knuckle rides and fairground stalls have arrived in Hull for the city's annual fair.
The event, which runs from today until October 13, is set to bring around 80,000 people to the showground at Walton Street over the coming days.
There will be more than 100 stalls featuring everything from hook-a-duck to bingo, as well as food outlets and around 80 rides.
Humberside Police have issued advice to those attending, while offering reassurance to visitors that there will be a police presence. The force has also warned it will not put up with anti-social behaviour.
A number of road closures are being enforced but council officials say they expect a memorable few days.
