Hundreds of jobs have been saved as Skipton House of Fraser will now stay open after originally being earmarked for closure.

The High Street shop is one of 20 across the country that has been reprieved by its new owners.

The Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley saved House of Fraser in a deal around £90 million.

The Skipton department store was one of 15 nationally that would stay open after being previously been marked for closing.
