Village marks 75 years since 12 died in Halifax bomber crash
Veterans were among dozens of people to gather in a village in West Yorkshire to mark 75 years since a Halifax Bomber crashed there - killing 12 people - during the Second World War.
A memorial plaque was unveiled at the scene of the accident in Darrington - where the bomber came down during a training exercise in 1943.
All six crew - including a bomb aimer from Rotherham - died, along with six villagers.
Mike Dawson lost four family members in the crash.
