Doncaster family lost £20k in terrifying armed raid

Businessman Lee Harris said "one of them booted me in the face".

A businessman has described the terrifying moment he realised his house and family were under attack.

Lee Harris told ITV Calendar that he woke up in the middle of the night after hearing "an almighty crash". He then found six men, wearing balaclavas, coming up the stairs.

Mr Harris said the assailants gave him "a hell of a beating" before raiding the family home, near Doncaster. They then held his wife and sons hostage whilst escorting Mr Harris to his business's premises, where he was forced to open the company safe and hand over cash.

Nicola Harris said the men had threatened to pour boiling water on her and her sons, and that if they moved they would "chop their fingers off".
