Police are appealing for information after a post office near Leeds was ram-raided in the early hours of the morning.

Officers say between up to six masked men attempted to raid the shop on High Street in Boston Spa at 1.30am on Tuesday September 4, 2018.

They repeatedly reversed a black Golf VW into the front of the shop to gain access to the cash machine in the window. They then tied straps around it and tried to pull it from the shop.

But last night's raid failed, and the suspects left empty-handed in a white Seat Leon. The black Golf used in the raid had been stolen from the Cross Green area of Leeds on Monday September 3, 2018.
