Circus performer injured during show

A circus performer of the Planet Circus OMG has been injured during a show in Scarborough after falling from the 'Wheel of Death'.

The incident happened during Sunday afternoons showing where the performer missed his timings and witnesses say he landing on his head/neck.

The performance was stopped and spectators were evacuated to allow an ambulance and first aid crew into the big top.

The circus say he is an a stable condition at a hospital in Hull and is in good spirits.

Todays final performance will go ahead as advertised.
