New memorial dedicated to victims of Manchester Airport disaster
Relatives of those who died in the Manchester Airport Disaster over three decades ago gathered at the airport today for the dedication of a new memorial to those who lost their lives.
In total 55 people perished - thirteen of those coming from the Calendar region alone - when engulfed a British Airtours jet as it was about to depart for Corfu.
The new memorial comes after years of campaigning by the families who also battled for improved air safety following the tragedy. Here's Martin Fisher.
