Girl, 9, killed in North Yorkshire rock fall incident named
A nine-year-old girl tragically killed in a rock fall incident in North Yorkshire has been named.
Police say Harriet Forster, from Oxford, was visiting Staithes with her family when the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, including the Coastguard, the RNLI, ambulance, air ambulance, fire and rescue and the police, Harriet was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Harriet's family have paid tribute to her, describing her as 'the light of our lives'.
