Yorkshire's Kyle Edmund beats British rival Andy Murray in straight sets
Beverley's Kyle Edmund can truly call himself the British No 1 after beating Andy Murray for the first time.
The Yorkshireman beat Murray in straight sets at Eastbourne, making him only the fifth British player ever to beat the Scot and the first since Tim Henman in 2006.
In a tweet, Edmund said it was 'an honour as always' to share the court with Murray.
However, the 6-4 6-4 victory raises fresh doubts about Murray's readiness to play at Wimbledon next week.
