Injured man airlifted to hospital after cliff fall

A man who fell from cliffs at Thornwick Bay, near Flamborough Head on the North Yorkshire coast, has been airlifted to hospital.

The Humber coastguard was alerted to the incident just before 8pm this evening and sent a rescue team from Bridlington. The man, believed to be a foreign national, was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. It's not known how serious his injuries are.
