Yorkshire riders prepare to compete for first time in Tour de Yorkshire

Preparations for the start of this year's Tour de Yorkshire are well underway.

The city's largest ever yellow bike, measuring a whopping 31 metres, has been emblazoned on the roof of the Trinity Shopping Centre.

The countdown is well and truly on for the big race and for the first time there will be a Yorkshire based team in the men's pelaton.

Holdsworth Pro Racing, a team based in Rotherham and containing a few local riders, will be on the start line at Beverley on Thursday in what will be their biggest race to date.

To ensure they are well prepared ahead of the race they have been out reccying the routes and our sports reporter Chris Dawkes joined them when they were out training for stage 1.
