Lincoln City celebrate Wembley victory

Lincoln City are celebrating after beating Shrewsbury - 27 places above them in the Football League - one nil in the final of the Checkatrade trophy.

Elliott Whitehouse scored the winner in the first half, firing into the roof of the net in the 16th minute as City became the first fourth-tier team to lift the trophy since Luton did so in 2009.

More than 26,000 fans travelled down to Wembley for the Imps' first ever appearance at the national stadium in their 134-year history.

Imps manager Danny Cowley said their support had been 'incredible'
