Police appeal after two men are stabbed in Leeds
Detectives in Leeds are appealing for information after two men were stabbed in separate incidents in Headingley overnight.
Police say the first incident happened last night (Saturday 31 March) at around 11pm on Estcourt Avenue when a 24-year-old man was attacked with a knife and had his mobile phone and wallet stolen.
Then at around 3am this morning (Sunday 1 April) detectives received a call from the ambulance service who reported a 22-year-old man had been stabbed at the junction of Ash Road, Headingley, close to The Arc, as he was taking cash out of an ATM machine.
Both victims suffered serious injuries and were taken to Leeds General Infirmary for urgent medical treatment.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with both of these incidents and remains in police custody .
