Protesters fined for 'obstruction' in first trial over Kirby Misperton fracking
Two protesters have been fined over £200 for 'obstruction' in the first trial about the Kirby Misperton fracking site.
Julia Collins and Ronald Holloran were arrested in October after they sat on top of a wooden tower outside the entrance to the site in North Yorkshire.
It was part of an ongoing campaign to stop Third Energy drilling for shale gas - where police made a total of eighty-five arrests for what they describe as unreasonable protest activity.
