West Yorks police trial 'revolutionary' fingerprint technology
West Yorkshire Police is trialling new technology that could revolutionise the way criminals are identified.
In the past, police resources have been tied up for hours while suspects' fingerprints have been analysed.
Now new technology means they can use smartphones to check them in seconds.
West Yorkshire Police will be rolling out 250 scanners to its officers in the coming weeks. Police forces across the country are expected to follow suit.
