Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman seriously injured in Morley

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was seriously injured in Morley.

Police officers were called to Baker Street in the town at around 11.12am on Friday December 22 after reports that a woman had been stabbed.

Paramedics treated the 41-year-old woman at the scene before she was taken to hospital for treatment. Her condition is described as serious but stable.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Birstall. He remains in police custody.
