Anorexia survivor says weight lifting saved her life
A student from West Yorkshire whose weight plummeted to just five stones because of an eating disorder, has said that swapping her obsession with food for an addiction to weight lifting has saved her life.
Twenty-two-year-old Emelle Lewis, from Mirfield, was just 15 when she became anorexic and at her lowest weight her mother had to make the heartbreaking decision not to send her for further hospital treatment.
Instead Emelle learnt about recovery through exercise on social media, and went from weight watcher to weight lifter.
She says she wants to show others it's possible to get better, releasing 'before and after' pictures which show just how ill she had become - and how she is now back to a healthy weight.
